A little bit of joy in your mailbox every month
Each month will be a surprise, but every month you'll get:
I use two different traditional printing techniques. The the art covers a 4x6" area on a 5x7" piece of cardstock. The print may either be in landscape or portrait format. Each month will be a different print.
Block Printing
A printing technique where I carve my design into a Japanese vinyl block and cover it with oil based ink. I then use a less traditional wringer washer to press paper onto the block’s surface.
Screen Printing
A printing technique where I burn a design onto a fine mesh screen coated with a thin layer of photosensitive emulsion. Then I pressure wash away the design area not exposed to light and this is the part of the screen where ink will be allowed to pass through. Then I use a screen printing press to push ink through the screen and onto paper that is then hung to dry.
I use fountain pen ink to create simple and whimsical illustrations. These are carefully cut out and then stamped with a message on the back. Each month will come with a different cutout.
I'll include a note giving you a glimpse into the mystery and magic behind this month's art.

FAQ
Slug Mail will never have repeats. However, from time to time you may recieve a print from my catalog of prints that hasn't been used for Slug mail before.
Prints are sent out in the middle of the month. So if you want to receive Slug Mail in any given month, you need to have signed up before that month starts. For example, if you would like to receive Slug Mail in February, then you would need to sign up by the end of January.
When you first sign up for Slug Mail your first charge will be at that time. Unless you indicate during checkout that you are giving Slug Mail as a gift, you will have a recurring charge. The recurring charges will always be done on the 25th of the month.
Yes and no. The prints are all printed from the same block. However, part of the charm of the hand printing process is that there are slight variations from print to print. The watercolor cutouts are all the same thing, but they may be different in color or details. It will be one of a kind.
In order to keep Slug Mail affordable, they are shipped with just a stamp and no tracking.
I am sorry. I cannot offer any refunds. Please contact me if you have any issues.
Yes you can! Just log in with the email you signed up with.
